Powdered activated carbon from coal uses high-quality wood chips, coal and nut shells as raw materials, and is produced by the zinc chloride method. It has a well-developed mesoporous structure, large adsorption capacity, and is characterized by rapid filtration. It is mainly used for the decolorization, refining and removal of "heat source" of various injection drugs, and can also be used for the decolorization of vitamin c and various raw materials. It has strong decolorization power and fast filtration speed, and is suitable for decolorization and filtration of medicines, pesticides, and Chinese and Western technical medicines. It also absorbs intestinal bacteria and detoxifies.

Powdered activated carbon from coal is made from high quality virgin coal by steam activation. This carbon have large surface area, large adsorption capacity and high hardness. It is widely used for water treatment, air purification, solvent recovery, chemical purification and as catalyst carrier.
